After Apple’s groundbreaking victory in Federal court on Friday, Samsung is already getting ready to issue their appeal to the court’s decision.  The ruling said that Samsung should pay Apple $1 billion in damages after “willfully” violating multiple Apple patents in the design of Samsung devices.

The decision could be viewed as a win for Apple which is surely is, but on the flip side it is also a loss for consumers that will have less devices to choose from when purchasing a Smartphone or Tablet.  Samsung had even attempted a counter suit during the course of the trial, but in the end all 12 Jurors dismissed that claim.
