Early in the summer Dead Island Riptide was announced but no date was given as to when gamers might be able to purchase it.  Now, Joystiq is reporting that it will be coming out in 2013 with multiple new features.

In Dead Island Riptide there will now be a Weather system, engine upgrades as well as the ability to transfer over player stats from the original Dead Island game.  Dead Island came out in 2011 and was received well over all despite some minor flaws.  When Dead Island Riptide is released you can expect to find it on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
