After a patent dispute coming from Apple aimed at HTC, a licensing settlement has now been reached between the two companies.  Analysts Shaw Wu from Sterne Agee said that because of this deal Apple will likely be making between $6 and $8 per handset which will result in $180 to $280 million in extra revenue for 2013.

Of course this is all based off of how well sales for HTC phones go in 2013 but those numbers will likely end up about right.  Wu also said that he thinks this settlement will be similar to the one Apple will attempt to reach with Samsung and Motorola.

So what do all of you think?  Will Apple use this deal to blueprint a deal with Samsung and Motorola?
