Apple has released the first iTunes 11 update only two weeks after iTunes 11 first launched.  This update is bringing back the ability to display duplicate items in your library along with some other changes.

“This update to the new iTunes addresses an issue where new purchases in iCloud may not appear in your library if iTunes Match is turned on, makes iTunes more responsive when searching a large library, fixes a problem where the AirPlay button may not appear as expected, and adds the ability to display duplicate items within your library.”

Along with the duplicate items change, iTunes 11.0.1 will also fix an issue where iCloud purchases were not showing up in the iTunes library, it will fixe an AirPlay button issue and makes iTunes more responsive when searching a library which is in “large” mode.

Overall none of the issues being fixed nor the additions being  made are a big deal and aren’t affecting a lot of people but it is still making iTunes more convenient than it has been before, so you cannot really go wrong!
