Google will continue to offer free VoIP service thru 2013
Google has just announced that they will be continuing their VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service throughout 2013. This has been a part of Gmail for quite a while now and since it offers free phone calls to US/Canadian residents, it is definitely a feature that people are grateful for.
Statement from Google about extending VoIP:
“Many of you call phones from Gmail to easily connect with friends and family. If you’re in the US and Canada, you’ll continue to be able to make free domestic calls through 2013. Plus, in most countries, you can still call the rest of the world from Gmail at insanely low rates.”
