Kickstarter has released their main statistics for 2012 as a whole, and not surprisingly, it was a VERY good year for the site.  In total, about $320 million was pledged by users and of that, $274 million was actually successfully pledged and collected.

Other interesting stats included Kickstarter receiving 86 million unique visitors, 709 million pageviews, and 2.24 million backers.

All of these stats (except for the total backer count)  were at least double what they were in 2011 for Kickstarter, thanks to successful projects like the Ouya game console.
