NPD Group has announced that Call of Duty Black Ops 2 was the #1 selling game in December and all of 2012, meaning CoD has taken the #1 spot four years in a row.

In a whole, December and 2012 sales totals for all video games were very disappointing, with sales sliding 22 percent in December.  As we come close to a next-gen console release, sales are bound to go down due to anticipation in terms of hardware, but the lack of video game sales can only be attributed to disinterested gamers.
