UPDATE #1 – As of 1/20/13 12:15 AM MEGA is now available for use again.

Right after launching earlier today, mega.co.nz which is the reincarnation of MegaUpload was down due to an excess in traffic.  Almost directly after the launch, Kim Dotcom (founder of MEGA) tweeted that the site was reaching the maximum server capacity, and because of that traffic, most people are still unable to reach the site.

MEGA has been down due millions of people attempting to access it after the site launched earlier today.

MegaUpload was shutdown after a government sting last year, which resulted in Kim Dotcom’s assets also being frozen as well as a large bout of legal battles ensuing between Kim Dotcom and the US Government.
