THQ gets court approval to sell their assets
Video game maker THQ has received court approval to sell their assets to multiple buyers, totaling $72 million in sales.
THQ will sell their different games and studios to a few different buyers, in the following way:
- Relic Studios will be sold to Sega Corp for $26.6 million
- Volition Inc will be sold to Koch Media GmbH for $22.3 million
- Game “Metro: Last Night” will also go to Koch Media GmbH for $5.9 million
- Game “South Park: The Stick of Truth” will go to Ubisoft for $3.3 million
While many parts of THQ are being sold, larger international operations and their publishing business are not being sold as part of this bankruptcy.
