With the help of Google Map Maker, Citizen Cartographers have improved the detail of North Korea on Google Maps.

Google Map Maker adds greater detail to North Korea on Google Maps. With help from collaborated efforts doused by the attention and skills formed by a body of citizen cartographers, Google Map Maker has provided an overview of North Korea with much greater and unanticipated detail which includes road names, common points of interests, and more now accessible on Google Maps.

Google’s Senior Product Manager of Maker, Jayanth Mysore, has discussed the details over which he disclosed citizen cartographers coming upon and working to improve the Map with road signs,  street names, along with common points of interests, in an effort to gain a much improved and declassified  view of North Korea on Google Maps.
