Sony talks about why there are so few PSOne Games
Sony PS Vita owners have been unhappy especially in North American since the system was released with how few games there are to choose from. Right now, there are only a total of 9 PSOne in the North American PS Vita store for download. In Europe there is already more than 100 games that people can download from the original PlayStation One system.
Sony added this functionality to the PS Vita in the 1.8 firmware update by allowing people to transfer PS1 titles to their PS3 and then to the PS Vita. Sony attempted to explain this major issue to their customers with the following statement.
“Each territory is completely unique and must go through its own individual processes for approvals in order to be available for purchase directly on PS Vita through PlayStation Store. We work collaboratively with all parties involved, including third party publishers, to ensure that we are following the proper protocol. As of right now, there are nine PS one classics titles available on the PS Vita store, however we are working hard to expand this list as soon as possible.”
So what do all of you think? Should Sony work harder to get more PSOne titles on the PS Vita store?
